SBV, the State Bank of Vietnam convenes this forum to share knowledge of New Trends of Digital Technology in Banking Industry. Guest speakers from KPSA (Korea Payment & Settlement Association), KFTC (Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute), German Fintech Group are invited to discuss Digital Payment and Banking System, Risk Management in Banking Compliance and Information Security.

 

I-ON will be presenting a simple yet secure 2-channel authentication service 2WayPIN at the event. 2WayPIN splits personal and input each part using two different channels – PC and mobile phone - to ensure personal information protection as well as user authentication. The personal information here can be the user’s bank account no., ID no. or credit card no. and such. 

“I believe 2-channel authentication is a strong alternative to OTP (One-time Password) in today’s world where the OTP hacking is rampant and hackers are getting smarter.”, said James Oh, CEO of I-ON Communications.

 

2WayPIN authenticates user with something that he already knows such as bank account no., ID no., credit card no. and something that he carries all the time like mobile phone, which makes the authentication process more simple but secure.

VBA (Vietnam Banks Association), a co-host of this forum, SBV and the banking industry officials from Vietnam and Korea expect this event to bring significant collaboration opportunities in a FinTech sector between the two countries.
